Buildings in Connecticut, particularly those reliant on fossil fuels for heating, contribute significantly to increasing levels of greenhouse gas emissions, which lead to rising sea levels, extreme weather events, and health problems. Growing concern about the impacts of greenhouse gas emissions has resulted in stricter regulations advocating for energy efficiency, electrification, and renewable energy.

As a building owner or manager, you need to understand the implications of energy and environmental laws, develop an effective compliance strategy, and capitalize on available incentives to navigate this ever-evolving landscape. Otherwise, noncompliance can lead to hefty penalties and reputational damage.
