Lance Bakrow

One of GES’ co-founders, Lance is the former co-head of energy and commodity trading for Goldman Sachs. He also founded Greenwich Energy Partners, a global energy trading and asset investment firm. After extremely rapid growth, Greenwich Energy Partners was sold to Cinergy (now Duke Power). He also formed Greenwich Power, a private equity company focused on energy investments in new technology, alternative energy, and energy risk management solutions. Lance has a long history of building entrepreneurial initiatives in the energy industry, an in-depth and sophisticated knowledge of corporate finance, and a passion for the energy efficiency space.

Clifford Schorer

Also a GES co-founder, Cliff is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Columbia Business School. He specializes in early stage ventures and applying technical innovation to new business models. He is the founder and CEO of several ventures, including GeoVideo Networks (a Lucent Technologies Venture) and Express Office Products. Cliff serves as a consultant to numerous global companies, including Novartis, AT&T, Lucent, Sony, and Telefonica. He also serves as a director on a number of boards, including RecycleBank, OUT 2 Play, and Landauer Metropolitan. Cliff is an active public speaker who provides inspirational keynote addresses throughout the world.

Peter Formanek

Peter has represented numerous early-stage and middle-market companies to purchase, sell, refinance, or restructure their operations as managing partner of Young America Capital, LLC. He also owns and manages Weinstein & Formanek, CPAs, where he has worked in public accounting for 20+ years. He previously worked on Wall Street as a Financial Analyst at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg (now part of Goldman Sachs), and subsequently at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Peter currently provides ongoing advisory services to several renewable energy companies as well as investment firms which focus on venture capital, private equity, hedge funds and real estate. Professional affiliations/memberships include: Private Equity CFO Association, Association for Corporate Growth, Turnaround Management Association, Venture Investors Association of NY, Urban Land Institute, Connecticut Venture Group, NYS and CT Society of CPAs. Peter holds FINRA license registrations for the Series 7, 24, 28 and 63. He received his MBA in finance from the University of Bridgeport, and his BS in accounting, magna cum laude, from the University of Bridgeport.
